The principal aim of this Summer School is to promote Biomedical Research and its Clinical Application in Latin America, through the use of cutting edge tools in Computational Neuroscience, as well as exchange among professionals.
The multidisciplinary study of brain function using neuroscience, mathematics and computational approaches helps to provide a better understanding of behaviour in normal and pathological states, also leading to important advance in education, theoretical frameworks, brain imaging, and biomedical therapies.
We wish to create a highly participative environment where the exchange of ideas between students and researchers will foster and establish strong long terms collaborations. These collaborations will provide us with a unique opportunity to develop this domain of research in Latin America.
The program include lectures; tutorial sessions; seminars; student’s poster presentations; 5 Plenary Lectures open to public; and 3 thematic workshops: Informational theory, Cognitive Sciences and Robotics, and Population coding.
